Clara Hough Diary
Diary of Clara Hough of Morgantown, West Virginia, documenting Hough's social life and activities in 1877 when she was twenty years old. Topics include reading, sewing, skating, calling on friends, attending church, dances, playing croquet, events at West Virginia University (WVU), and news of friends and family. Also includes notes from 1876 on WVU letterhead bearing the name of Miss Mamie Hough.

There are pictures of mostly crops, including potatoes and tobacco, and some of livestock. Other images include single plates of Morgantown, Woodburn Circle, a bridge, and of the "campus from the Station building". Ethel Flesher Stewart, Postcard Correspondence Regarding West Virginia University and Other Topics
Incoming postcards to Ethel Flesher Stewart (1890-1988) of St. Marys, West Virginia. The 20 postcards featuring images of West Virginia University (9 items) and Morgantown (11 items) are mostly from a correspondent named "James", a WVU student whose messages provide a snapshot of student life in the academic year 1908-1909. There are also postcards with images of St. Marys (8 items), Parkersburg (5 items), Sistersville (3), Mannington (3), Marshall College (2), and other localities (7).

Collection includes the original geological notebook of Dr. I. C. White written in 1875, while a member of the Pennsylvania Geological Survey in Greene County, PA, and the original Geology Field Notebook kept by Dr. White during the West Virginia University spring term of 1883.

John Rogers Correspondence
The collection consists largely of correspondence to Morgantown businessman John Rogers from relatives in Pennsylvania and Maryland. It also includes two letters from Sgt. William A. Widney, who was assigned to the U.S. War Department during the Civil War, to a Morgantown friend (possibly William Hennen). One letter was written by an unidentified woman to her grandson, a West Virginia University student.
