Woodrow Mosley, Coal Miner, Interview Transcript
Transcript of an interview with a retired coal miner of Lincoln County, WV. Mosley lived and worked in the coal fields of Logan County, WV and Pike County, KY most of his life. He started to work in 1929 when mining was still done by pick and shovel and retired in the early sixties when mining had become mechanized. He describes the changes in mining technology he experienced and the effect of unionization in the coal mining region of southern West Virginia.

Collection contains the program and schedule from the national Workers' Education Local 189 spring meeting, which was held in Beckley, West Virginia, in May 1979. Also includes the summer 1979 newsletter from the Division of Social Sciences of the West Virginia Institute of Technology, which contains some information about labor education.

World War I Book Titled "Collier's New Photographic History of the World's War"
A 128 page photographic history of World War I, including "photographs by the official photographers accompanying each army" that were "collected and arranged by Francis J. Reynolds and C. W. Taylor". It focuses on the western front, and on America's participation in the conflict, and was issued in 1918 by the New York company P. F. Collier & Son Publishers.

Framed photographs from the World War I era. Includes three framed group portraits and nine framed panoramic (Cirkut) photographs. The panoramic photographs include formal and candid group portraits as well as scenic views.

Twelve French and twenty-four American posters promoting recruitment and financial support of their respective countries' efforts during World War I. American posters document recruitment, and the campaigns for the Liberty Bond, Victory Liberty Loan, and the United War Work Campaign, the latter supporting organizations such as the American Library Association, YMCA, and the YWCA, among others.

56 reels of 16mm motion picture film. Much of the film seems to be newsreels from German organizations. Most films have no sound. Subjects include battles and other events of World War II, as well as a few reels of film that predate the war.
