McNeill, and "Capture of a Railroad Train," by John T. Peerce. There are scrapbooks on South Branch Valley history, and account books for grain, carding, and other activities in Morgantown. There are also clippings and photographs.
John J. Davis (1824-1916) Papers
Papers of John J. Davis, a lawyer and politician from Clarksburg, West Virginia. This collection contains correspondence, account books, photographs, essays, speeches, and other material. Also included in this collection are writings of Davis' granddaughter, Julia McDonald Davis. There are also artifacts, including a school slate and three leather billfolds. John Morton Ledgers
Diaries, account books, and a surveyor's handbook belonging to John Morton, a farmer of Hollidays Cove, Brooke County, West Virginia. The surveyor's book includes lessons on logarithm, geometry, plane trigonometry, and surveying. The diaries and account books record Morton's life and significant events of the period. There is also an undated land deed, a property list of Morton's father, John Morton, and some genealogical information.

An account book from Skimino, York County, Virginia, which mentions several members of the Bates, Cole, Harrison, More, and Smith families. The journal lists expenses incurred in moving from York County to Mount Pleasant, Ohio, in 1817. There is a typed index to names in the journal, and a typed narrative on the Harrison and Bates families.
