Includes 47 glass plate negatives of West Virginia University student groups created circa 1900-1930. Subjects include football, baseball, and basketball teams; musical groups; and fraternity, sorority, and club groups. Three boxes contain glass plate negatives while the final box contains the original sleeves in which the negative were housed (with identifying information where present). Digital scans are available.

There is also a program for a speech contest at the Mineral Industries Auditorium (5-16-1947), and a copy of the front page of a program for a "Sing" at the Field House (5-11-1947).

Includes records and photos of road-building projects in Bolivia and West Virginia, photograph albums of West Virginia hydro-electric plant construction, lists of lot owners for the area flooded by Cheat Lake, and a memoir of Downs' student years at West Virginia University, ca. 1905.
