Overview

Photostat negative of page 246 in Minute Book of the Fayette County Court. The court appropriates and arranges to borrow $5,000 for defense of the county in accordance with an act of the Virginia legislature, inasmuch as the ". . . State has been invaded by a hostile army of Northern Fanatics, and we feel bound to resist said invasion to the last extremity. . . . ".
