Scope and Contents
West Virginia University (WVU) undertook the Family Heritage Project as part of its 125th-anniversary observance. The project goal was to encourage members of families whose roots in West Virginia extended at least to 1867 to submit family history information. This collection consists of those submissions. Many of the submissions emphasize family ties to WVU. There is a published guide to this collection entitled "West Virginia University family heritage project : a guide to the collection"....
