Campbell, Alexander, 1788-1866

An 1808-1809 journal with descriptions of travels in Ireland and Scotland and of Campbell's voyage to America. Specific mention is made of weather conditions, fish, birds, food rations, and quarantine of the ship on its arrival at New York City. Collection contains notes for and a list of sermons preached (1810-1814) by Campbell in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

The last will and testament of Alexander Campbell, leaving his estate to his children and grandchildren with the stipulation that each contribute a specific amount to Bethany College.

Research narrative titled "Point Breeze Farm--The Land And Its Relationship to the Campbell Family and Bethany College--A 179 Year Survey". This narrative provides an overview of the history and use of the tracts of land associated with Point Breeze farm; a deeding history; and a detailed survey of the architectural features and interior of William H. Nave's Point Breeze Mansion in its "original state as discovered through available records".
