Biography
Rush Dew Holt Jr. (born 1948) is an American scientist and politician who served as the U.S. representative for New Jersey's 12th congressional district from 1999 to 2015. He is the son of Rush Dew Holt and Helen Holt. Holt was chief executive officer of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and executive publisher of the Science family of journals from 2015 thru his retirement in 2019.

Includes an original clipping (with two photocopies) about Rush Holt, Sr.'s visit to Little Genesee, NY (December 15, 1935). Holt made the trip at the invitation of his college friend, Rev. Harley Sutton, along with his sister and two others, where he spoke on the importance of keeping America out of foreign conflicts. Also includes a letter from Rush Holt, Sr. to Rev. Harley Sutton regarding the latter's health (1949); a letter from Lyle Sutton (son of Rev. Harley) to Rush Holt, Jr....
