The correspondence contains one letter from Judge M.H. Dent to his son, Herbert W., on his twenty-first birthday, and one letter from Mary Dent Grinnan commenting on M.H. Dent. The newspaper clippings are a tribute to Judge Dent by Judge Henry Brannon, 1909, and an article on the death of Carrie Dent Armstrong, daughter of Judge Dent.
