Three bound volumes chart the descendants of Henry, John, and Peter Fansler, three of the ten children of Dietrich and Elizabeth Fansler of Shenandoah County, Virginia. It appears that these volumes are part of a larger set, but this collection contains only volumes 1, 5, and 7. Volume 1 charts the descendants of Henry Fansler (1761-1843) of Hendricks, West Virginia. Volume 5 charts the family of Peter Fansler (c. 1779-1801) of New Market, Virginia. Volume 7 charts the descendants of John Fansler (1771-1844), of Toms Brook, Virginia. Volumes contain more than two thousand entries and provide birth, marriage, and death dates for each family member. Some entries contain additional information about occupation or military service.
