The Mayme Hunter papers consist of handwritten notes, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a few photographs, family ancestry record sheets, typescript and photostat copies. All the material concerns genealogy and local history of the Eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Family names documented include Dyche, Foutz, Hunter, Cox, Gustin, Strange, and others.
