Records of the West Virginia University Mountaineer Credit Union, which operated in Morgantown, West Virginia, from October 1943 to 1946. Records include the certificate of incorporation; correspondence and shareholder meeting minutes related to the establishment and operation of the credit union; statements of resources and liabilities; reports of condition and account statements; correspondence with the West Virginia Credit Union League and the Credit Union National Association; and related tax materials. Most documents date between 1943 and 1946.

The Mountaineer Credit Union was established in October 1943 to serve all salaried employees of the West Virginia University. Apparently unable to sustain its business during World War II, the credit union was dissolved in 1946.
