Newsclipping from the Parsons Advocate, dated 7 February 1957, about the old iron furnace at the Valley Furnace in Barbour County, West Virginia. The old furnace was built in 1848 and abandoned circa 1854. Article provides brief overview of history of furnace and its operation. Also includes a photo of the remains of the furnace.
