One letter dated Jan. 29, 1851, addressed to Messrs. Smith, Winchester & CO., Windham, Connecticut from Armstrong and Crowl of the Fulton paper Mill near Wheeling, Virginia, asking for information on a paper drying machine that would handle widths up to 44 inches. Most of their customers are switching to the wider paper and to meet competition it is necessary for them to change over also.
