Artwork and other material by John Mowder, an artist and native of Moundsville, West Virginia. Includes two bronze sculptures (an acrobat titled "Buster", 9 in. high; and a coal miner titled "Grandfathers", 16 in. high). Also includes two coloring books ("Great American Beach Vacation", 2017; "Circus Big Top Coloring Book", undated), sketch book (undated), and paper printouts of articles that appeared online regarding Mowder and his artwork (ca. 1996-2008) (box 1). There is also an autobiography by Mowder comprising captioned illustrations by the artist (box 2).
The addendum of 2025 August 13 includes photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, biographical materials, ephemera, and other records documenting the life and career of circus artist and ringmaster John Mowder (boxes 3-7).
