Scope and Contents

Reel to reel recordings of Sam Pollock, Tom Read, and Nanny Gore Hern recalling local history of hunting, fishing, railroad, and families in Summers County, WV, and the region. Also includes a print reproduction of a tintype photo of the Glenville Towboat on the Little Kanawha River.

The Addendum of 2025 February 7 includes audiovisual recordings of West Virginia and Appalachian folk music, folk festivals, and more. Also includes photographs of Costa's family members and various locations and persons in Summers, Greenbrier, and Pocahontas Counties, West Virginia, Costa's grandmother's photograph album, and various audiovisual recording accoutrements.
