Formerly A&M 0224. Original Abstract: "Letters and receipts document the business of dry goods store Cohn, Sampliner and Company in Wheeling, West Virginia, from 1875 to 1878. Records include notes of account debts and settlements and letters regarding dry goods purchases and returns. Products sold and purchased by Cohn, Sampliner and Company chiefly include items of clothing and sewing supplies, such as jeans, ties, ruffles, pants, shirts, yarn, and flannel. Letters and receipts are from customers, manufacturers, and other dry goods stores in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. They are arranged alphabetically by name."
