Campaign files and ephemera

The Campaign files subseries consists of materials related to Moore’s 1972, 1980, and 1984 campaigns for governor, as well as his 1978 campaign for the U.S. Senate. The 1968 gubernatorial campaign materials can be found in the congressional papers record group. Files contain research, correspondence, contribution records, campaign committee reports to the West Virginia Secretary of State, FEC filings, campaign committee finance records, speeches, publications, news clippings, contact lists, photographs, biographical information, and ephemera. Press materials, audio and video recordings, and some West Virginia Republican Party files are also included. Two boxes contain responses to a 1980 West Virginia Issues survey mailed by the campaign.
