Kemp performed the Statewide Covered Bridge Preservation Survey for Pennsylvania. Includes minutes, budget lists, correspondence, draft and final contracts, reports, contracts, surveys, lists of data, research notes and facsimile court records. Subjects include covered bridges of Chester County, Pennsylvania, truss covered bridges, bridge restoration and survey design. Correspondents include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Richard Ortega and Emory Kemp. Highlights include the survey sent to assess each covered bridge across the state, preliminary results, and an NRHP nomination for “Covered Bridges of Chester County Thematic Resources.” The following oversize items were moved to Box 343: twelve pages of report (1976), fifteen sheets of facsimile handwritten court records (1850-1881).
