Payroll and production records of the Perfection Garment Co. and its subsidiary Pleatex, Inc. The records are fairly standard business accounts of balances with other companies and of employee earnings by piece rate, a common practice in the textile industry. The records reflect some of the success of the company in its long term (1905-91) venture in the highly competitive field of garment production. The company was also noted as a prominent West Virginia manufacturer of ladies apparel and a solid mainstay of the Martinsburg economy.
