Materials regarding the Constitution Party and other conservative political organizations created and collected by Joseph B. Lightburn. Folder 1 contains handbills, correspondence, etc. of the Constitution Party of the U.S.A. and the Constitution Party of West Virginia (1961-1963). Folder 2 contains pamphlets, newsletters, correspondence, and clippings pertaining to conservative political topics (1957-1970); topics include: income tax repeal, constitutionalism, anti-communism and anti-socialism, arguments against sex education, and a potential world government. Folder 3 (oversize) contains conservative newspapers and bulletins, including issues of The Augusta Courier (4 different items; 1965/11), Constitution-News Review (2 different items; 1961), and an American Education Lobby special publication on sex education (ca. 1969), among other material. Joseph B. Lightburn of Jane Lew, West Virginia served as National Committeeman for the Constitution Party of West Virginia; folders 1 and 2 include items authored by Mr. Lightburn.
