Photocopies of three typescripts authored by J. Francis Mozena regarding the history of Monroe County, Ohio. Two of the typescripts regard church cemeteries in Monroe County. The first, dated March 1864, regards Mount Union Cemetery and includes a brief history of the Mount Union Church and a list of lots and persons buried in the cemetery. The earliest burial dates recorded are from the early 20th century. The second typescript, dated April 1864, regards Mount Vernon Cemetery. It includes a brief history of the Mount Vernon Church, which was built in 1903. The cemetery had been used prior to its attachment to the church and its earliest graves date to the 1850s. Also included is a list of lots and persons buried in the cemetery. The third typescript, dated May 1965, was written on the occasion of the Civil War Centennial and regards the military service of men from Monroe County.
