This 88 page article is extensively illustrated, and includes sections titled 'The Land Overlooked,' 'Thriving Cities of West Virginia,' 'The Virility of West Virginia's Men,' 'The Grand Old Man of West Virginia' (regarding Henry Gassaway Davis), 'Eminent Men of West Virginia,' 'The West Virginia Board of Trade,' 'Sidelights in the Mountain State,' 'Story of the Dollar Savings' (regarding Dollar Savings and Trust Company in Wheeling), and 'The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and West Virginia.' Joe Mitchell Chapple wrote the lead article and the final section regarding the B&O Railroad. This issue also includes a fold-out color map of West Virginia, and a color illustration of a West Virginia landscape on the cover.
