Overview

A ledger for a paper manufacturing mill at Newton Falls, Ohio. Entries show accounts with employees and customers; prices for farm produce, coal, and general merchandise; salaries; and prices paid for materials. Accounts are shown with Western Reserve College and the "Ohio Observer". A method for coloring paper is given, as well as instructions for mixing and applying whitewash. It also includes an estimate for paper production costs; and lease from Frederick Trendley to John Benton for part of the mill.
