Account books and loose papers relating to the general store business operated by Jacob L. Gissy in Camden, West Virginia, in the early twentieth century. Chiefly consists of invoices and receipts for dry goods and food, such as grains and feed, household goods, clothing, and food, from various wholesalers and dry goods companies from 1918 to 1947 with the majority from 1930 to 1947. Also includes advertising material from several grocery merchants, price lists, and blank order forms. The last two boxes contain J. L. Gissy's account books and ledgers from 1917 to 1944.
