Records of the West Virginia Archives and History Commission, including meeting agendas and minutes, memoranda, copies of proposed legislation regarding the Division of Culture and History, State Historic Preservation Office material, grant manuals, and grant applications. The Archives and History Commission serves as the citizen advisory board to the Division of Culture and History, which preserves the heritage of West Virginia through a variety of activities, which include managing the West Virginia State Museum and awarding Historic Preservation Grants. These papers were donated by commission member and current chair Harold Forbes; some items include his hand-written notes. Box 1 includes material mainly from 2013-2015, with a small amount of material from 2008. Box 2 includes material from 2007-2013.
