Correspondence, photographs, invoices, receipts, and other material regarding art objects which decorated the Towers residence halls. The material mainly consists of correspondence between Betty Boyd, who was Dean of Women and later Assistant Director of Student Educational Services, and artists, art gallery owners, and university staff regarding the acquisition of art objects from 1964-1967. Art objects considered for purchase, donated, commissioned, or acquired included a number of paintings, a kinetic scuplture of glass and metal by artist Joe Moss, and several sculptures from the Makonde culture of western Africa. Also includes photographs and other information regarding several of these art objects from 2005-2009.
