The First Presbyterian Church of Clarksburg, West Virginia, was established in 1829. Letters from the 1830s and 1850s concern the early operation of the church. Primary topics include finding a pastor for the church; financial support; and construction of the church building. Commemorative anniversary programs for the church's anniversary in 1894 and 1954 and newspaper articles from the late 1890s and 1950s document the growth and changes in the church. Also includes four undated black-and-white photographs of the church.
