Overview

A petition signed by 324 students of Hurricane High School on May 2, 1941 protesting existing conditions in Hurricane, W.Va. The students request the officials of Hurricane 'to do the following things: (1) Take the proper steps to close all beer sales in Hurricane. (2) Stop drunkenness and disorderly conduct on our streets. (3) Cooperate with the State Police in any attempt to enforce obedience to law and order. (4) Close Sunday Theatres.'
