Autograph album belonging to George W. Perry, a student at Alleghany College in Blue Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier County, (West) Virginia, a school for Baptist Ministers. When Blue Sulphur Springs Resort closed in 1859 the facilities were re-purposed to serve the College, which itself closed in 1861. The album contains handwritten sentiments written by Perry's classmates and friends on the eve of the Civil War in May 1861. Entries include names and locations; most of the students were from Virginia.
