Calendar of personal correspondence of Judge Gideon D. Camden (1805-1891) of Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. Camden was a lawyer, Democratic politician, member of the Virginia Convention of 1850-1851, circuit judge, and state senator (1872-1876). The calendar covers 1785-1860 and includes correspondence from this period in A&M 1188, 1199, 1221, and 1276. The cards contain the date, writer, addresses, description of contents and description and location of the document. There is also a survey of the letters by group, tally of letters based on geographic distribution, a Camden chronology, and brief biographical sketches of the subject.
