The North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary encourages cooperative relationships among colleges and universities, examines the quality of higher education, and accredits higher-learning organizations. Collection consists of 1964 reports from the association's Commission on Colleges and Universities (now the Higher Learning Commission) for West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Potomac State College, a two-year residential division of WVU, in Keyser, West Virginia. Reports examine the institutions' governing board, service area, resources, academic programs, student services, faculty services, and library and provide a brief summary and comments. The report for WVU is twenty pages; the report for Potomac State is seven pages.
