Fifteen letters from Bard M., a member of the West Virginia University (WVU) Cadet Corps, to Rebecca Putney (1895-1992) of Charleston, West Virginia. On evidence of stationary, he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. There are also two letters to Ms. Putney from WVU regarding how to apply for admission. Notable information in the letters includes a description of the funeral of Lieutenant Colonel Richmond of the 1st Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, train schedules to Charleston WV, and information describing coursework and military balls at WVU. Finally, there is one letter from James W. Clarkson, who was also a member of the Military Department at WVU; and an invitation to the 1915 Commencement from John Wise. (The letters are numbered 1-19 in chronological sequence.)
