Various brochures and flyers including a memorial service program, non-profit organizations' promotional brochures, and event flyers, all highlighting the life and work of West Virginia African American poet Norman Jordan. Topics covered include Jordan's memorial service, as well as various programs and organizations regarding African Americans in West Virginia. These include the African-American Heritage Family Tree Museum, African American Heritage on the Midland Trail, the Norman Jordan African American Arts and Heritage Academy, Black History Month (2022), and a program at Hawks Nest State Park commemorating Norman Jordan and his poetry (2019).
Digital files include scans of event posters (2009 and undated), photographs of Jordan and his wife Brucella, selections from anthologies and magazines in which Jordan's work was featured, and more.
