Scope and Contents

This collection and its addenda are made up of publications including newspapers, booklets, magazines and comics. Publications include Gay Sunshine, Gay Comix, Christopher Streetand other materials published throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Material from the original donation can be found in boxes 1 and 2. Addendum 2020-10-09 can be found in boxes 2 and 3. Addendum 2020-03-04 can be found in boxes 1 and 4. Box 3 also includes a note pertaining to the donor's interpretation of the material in addendum 2020-10-09.

Certain materials in this collection depict full nudity and include explicit sexual references.

Bibliography

Edward Sebesta is a gay historian, activist, and author. Sebesta is a local of Dallas, Texas and as of 2022 has been actively fighting for gay rights in Texas. Sebesta's work includes Disable, Defeat and Demolish Homophobic Christianity, Neo-Confederacy: A Critical Introduction, and Confederate and Neo-Confederate Reader: The "Great Truth" about the "Lost Cause".
