Correspondence between conference organizer Jack Welch of the West Virginia University English Department and various writers, editors, and academics, regarding solicitations and arrangements for their attendance at the Mont Chateau Writers' Conference, June 1969, sponsored by West Virginia University. Persons included are: William Matthews, James Wright, Donald Justice, Paul Engle, James Dickey, Howard Richardson, David Pryce-Jones, and Guy Owen. Some photographs of participants in the writers conference were transferred to the photograph collection.
