Scope and Contents Kemp studied the Old Croton Aqueduct with student Ed Winant as part of Winant’s dissertation. The research culminated in the article “John Jervis and the Hydraulic Design of the Old Croton Aqueduct” in the journal Canal History and Technology Proceedings. Kemp also advised on the exhibit “The Old Croton Aqueduct: Rural Resources Meet Urban Needs” at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York.
