Kemp wrote the book, Taming the Muskingum about navigation on the Muskingum River in Ohio. The box contains research materials, including drafts for the text Taming the Muskingum, a list of "current publication commitments for Dr. Emory Kemp," and facsimile photos of dams along the Muskingum.
