Postmasters Appointment Records
A microfilm copy of Record Group 28 of the National Archives containing records of appointments of postmasters by the U. S. Postal Service. The records include a roughly alphabetical list of post offices throughout the country, the names of postmasters for those offices and their dates of first returns.
Potomac State College Publications
Publications of Potomac State College, including 1906 issue of the "Spectrum" and 1920-1921 issue of "The Herald". The school at this time was known as a preparatory school for West Virginia University, named "Keyser Preparatory School". The addendum of 2018-06 includes 39 additional copies of the literary magazine "The Preparatory Herald" dating from 1907-1915.
Powell B. Reynolds, Letter and Clipping
Letter from Dr. Reynolds, prior to when he became acting president of West Virginia University, 1893-1895, to his mother concerning family news and fund-raising efforts for Shelton College in St. Albans, West Virginia. There is also a clipping with a brief biography of Reynolds. Includes facsimiles.
Powell Benton Reynolds (1841-1914) Correspondence
Three letters from Reynolds as a Confederate soldier, Co, K, 50th Virginia Infantry, contain excellent descriptions of life in the Army of Northern Virginia. One letter contains Reynolds views on the right of secession and there is a letter from William P. Willey informing Reynolds of his election to the Chair of English at WVU. Collection also contains seven diplomas from Richmond College Reynolds received between 1867 – 1877. Typed copies of the letters may be found in A&M 390.
Powell Benton Reynolds (1841-1914) Correspondence
Transcriptions of letters written by P.B. Reynolds while a member of the 5th Kentucky Infantry, and the 50th Virginia Infantry of the Confederate Army from Highland Forest, Kentucky, January 30, 1861; Orange C .H., Va., August 7, 1863; 50th V. Regt. Camp, March 6 and April 13 1864; and Spotsylvania C. H., Va. May 19, 1864. The originals of the letters can be found in A&M 1195.
Presbury Family Genealogy
Photostat copies of tables tracing the Presbury line from Capt. John Hall (d. ca. 1660) through the families of Bayless, Browne, Colgate, Hall, Little, and Lytle. Also includes two volumes, cataloged in the general library, "The Presbury Family of Maryland and the Ohio Valley." There is also information regarding the Kaminsky and Parry families. Material covers the years 1650-1950.

Presbyterian Church, Tazewell District, Virginia Minute Book
This volume is entitled The Condensed Minute Book for the Presiding Elders and Pastors. It contains various forms and entry pages for the recording of church membership, financial and government affairs. The volume was kept by Reverend J.E. Wolfe of Tazewell, Va. during the years 1918-19. His handwritten entries include the names of church members in Tazewell District, funds raised for various purposes, attendance at quarterly meetings, and the names of church officers.
