Special edition newspaper and badge with attached ribbon issued on occasion of the 85th Anniversary of Woman Suffrage. These were handed out at a special event held at Elizabeth Moore Hall on the campus of West Virginia University in 2005. The newspaper contains articles regarding the history of the Woman Suffrage movement; the badge features text stating "Celebrate Victory, Betty Ireland: WV Secretary of State".
West Virginia University, Woodburn Hall, Correspondence and Newspaper Clippings Regarding Clock Bell
Correspondence and photocopied newspaper clippings regarding the Woodburn Hall clock bell. Charles Scott, the husband of the compiler, found a small wooden ball in the trash at Woodburn Hall in 1957 and believed it to be related to the clock bell. Includes the results of research conducted for the compiler by librarians and others, most notably a letter from a third-generation bellmaker giving a brief history of his family's business.
