Overview

Account ledger of Weston State Hospital (formerly the Lunatic Asylum at Weston) for the mentally ill. Over 360 pages, it includes transactions listed chronologically by month for period January 1866 to March 1868, and by day for 1873-1887. Many of the entries document construction expenses. Although patients were first admitted in 1864, construction of the facility continued until 1881.
