Churches of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Records
The collection includes an unpublished master's thesis, The Records of the Pioneer Churches of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, by Jessie m. Tomb, University of Pittsburgh, 1933 and copies of the church records. Included are various German Lutheran, reformed and Brethren Churches and Baptists Church records. The editor had complied English translations for the records written in German.
Circular Regarding Creation of a Professional Medical Organization in West Virginia (Facsimile)
Facsimile copy of a circular regarding the establishment of an organization for medical professionals in the state of West Virginia signed by representatives, some identified as "M.D.", from communities in the state, including Fairmont, Grafton, Morgantown, and Wheeling, among a few other locations. Signatures include H. W. Brock, John C. Hupp, and Thomas Kennedy, among others.
Circus Posters
Sixteen circus posters and two rodeo posters announcing events in West Virginia for the period ca. 1970-1995; most are for the Charleston Civic Center, but a few are for the Lewisburg Fairgrounds. Circuses include Clyde Beatty and Cole Bros., Hoxie Bros., Mills Bros., and Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey. Posters are 14 in. x 22 in. (except for a 11 in. x 14 in. rodeo poster) and multi-colored.

Civil War Bounty Tax, Collection Document
Document recording taxes collected in Monongalia County, West Virginia as "bounty money", beginning 1 February 1864. The document records the names of collectors, the townships they worked in, and the amount collected. The reverse of the document also records money borrowed from banks and interest owed. "Bounty money" was a payment in cash given to soldiers after they volunteered for military service.
Civil War Camp Anderson, Photographs and Negatives
Nineteen photographs and negatives for the engravings that appeared in a book about Camp Anderson. (See: Shelter. Civil War Literature, p.106, entry no. 682.) The engravings were sketched from nature and drawn on stone by J.N. Roesler, and printed by Ehrgott, Forbriger and Company, Cincinnati. The scenes are of Civil War activities at Camp Anderson and in the area adjacent to the New and Gauley Rivers.
