The letter includes a manuscript transcription (from 1841) of a 1786 land grant or indenture for Hezekiah Davisson, assignee of Robert Lewis Jun, for a tract of land in Harrison County, (West) Virginia. The grant was approved by Patrick Henry, Governor of Virginia.
