Overview

Letter from D.D.V. Stuart to Arthur Dayton dated 11 September 1898. Stuart was a naval navigator in the late nineteenth century. Stuart writes about moving to New York and keeping his wheels at the Washington Navy Yard. He also notes that he enclosed a cap ribbon from the USS Lancaster with the letter for Dayton's mother.

Overview

Correspondence, photos, and charts collected by Mrs. Gay (Bennett) Iden. There are two letters written by J. T. McFarlane, from aboard the USS Bear on an expedition to the South Pole in 1941. There is one hand drawn chart showing the rate schedule of the Monongalia and the Ohio Packet Company, probably drawn by Roy Moore in 1910. There is one photo of an Monongahela and Ohio Packet boat, and a picture postcard showing boats on the Monongahela around 1910.
