Overview

Album of 39 portraits (black and white, and color) taken by Ray Stoker (1895-1975), a resident of Fairmont, West Virginia. The majority of the photographs are portraits of Stoker's wife; other subjects include other women, children, animals, and the artist himself. Overview

Three mounted photos titled "Rural Life in West Virginia" (6 1/2 in. x 9 1/2 in. ea.) each featuring a picture of a child; they are carrying a pail, dragging a rake, and leaning on a cow respectively. Labelling on each mount includes "negative by Theo. Brinkmeier", "printed on n.p.a. extra brilliant albumen paper", and "made with Anthony's 2 B equipment".
