Overview Proceedings of a trial by a U. S. Military Commission of Harrison H. Stalnaker, who was accused of the crime of bushwhacking in regard to the deaths of Capt. Michael T. Haller, Sgt. Andrew M. Nester and William S. Martin on 24 April 1865 in Barbour County. The incident began when a small party of Confederates raided the home of a Union sympathizer.
