Melvin Harding Kimble (1920-1944) was born in Moundsville, West Virginia and served in the 5th Ranger Infantry Battalion during World War II on the Western Front of the European Theater. Kimble was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 and his body was returned to the United States for burial in 1948.
