Scope and Contents Two albums of images of the West Virginia University campus, students, and the surrounding area in the late 1890s. One album contains cyanotypes, the other contains photographs. These albums belonged to WVU student Leonard S. Hall. His name can be found recorded in one of them. Content Description

Correspondence and photocopied newspaper clippings regarding the Woodburn Hall clock bell. Charles Scott, the husband of the compiler, found a small wooden ball in the trash at Woodburn Hall in 1957 and believed it to be related to the clock bell. Includes the results of research conducted for the compiler by librarians and others, most notably a letter from a third-generation bellmaker giving a brief history of his family's business.
