Overview

Two school notebooks kept by Isaac L. Van Voorhis and a pamphlet regarding penmanship and book-keeping. The notebooks were kept while Van Voorhis was a sophomore at West Virginia University and living in the Sigma Chi House. One of the notebooks was used for the second semester of History 23 and the other for Zoology I.

Includes examples of what is likely Spencerian script, as well as 21 examples of 'offhand flourishes' mostly of birds, presumably by Jenkins.
