Financial and farm records of James Campbell who owned a plantation near Arden, Berkeley County on which he also operated a store. The collection also includes a ledger and some loose financial papers of James L. Campbell who ran the family homestead.

Assorted bills and receipts of Clarence West, who operated a grocery store on Yates Street in Grafton, West Virginia, in the early twentieth century. Bills and receipts from various wholesalers chiefly date from 1914, 1915, and 1918, and list dry goods items such as salt strips, lard, whole nutmegs, biscuits, tobacco, bacon, cheese, rice, sugar, coffee, milk, pins, and sewing machine oil.
